Unreal Engine 4.1 is being released next week and I guess I got overexcited.
So, I tried to update Unreal Engine 4 to the new 4.1 preview edition from Github at github.com/epicgames and got the following error message:
CrashReportClient.exe – Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point SetCheckUserInterruptShared could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\dbgeng.dll
I am using Windows 8 and Unreal Engine 4.0.2.
It’s a simple fix. I just installed Visual Studio. (If you install Visual Studio Express, it’s free). I hope this helps anybody who encounters the same problem.
